Tina M. Cline
PSYCHOTHERAPIST - Ph.D. Candidate, LISW-S, CSAT, CPTT, EMDR
I believe every person (and every relationship) is capable of growth and change.

As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT), I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating sexual addiction and partner betrayal trauma.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work is walking alongside individuals and couples as they begin growing into healthier, more connected versions of themselves.
I work best with those who are willing to engage genuinely in the recovery process, even when the work feels difficult or deeply personal. Real recovery often requires facing painful truths and learning to navigate life and relationships with greater integrity.
My approach is focused on guiding clients to become active participants in their own healing. While this work can be challenging, there’s nothing more joyful than watching individuals and couples begin reconnecting with themselves, their values, and the people they love.
-
My specialties include sex addiction, pornography addiction, and partner betrayal trauma. I work with individuals and couples navigating the impact of compulsive sexual behaviors, betrayal, secrecy, trauma, and relational disconnection.
Services may include individual psychotherapy, formal therapeutic disclosure, partner consultations, and recovery-focused couples sessions when clinically appropriate.
I also incorporate EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches to support recovery, emotional processing, and relational healing.

I didn’t enter this work just to treat symptoms or behaviors. The truth is, I became drawn to this field through a deep desire to help those struggling with sexual addictions pursue genuine recovery and personal growth. I also feel deeply passionate about supporting partners in rebuilding emotional safety, confidence, and clarity within themselves and their relationships.
Through this work, I’ve come to see that true healing absolutely requires honesty, accountability, emotional safety, and open communication — especially when trust has been damaged within a relationship. I’ve also seen how meaningful change becomes more possible when individuals and couples stop hiding and begin engaging openly and honestly in the recovery process.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Social Work, and am currently finalizing my Ph.D. in Social Work with a focus on addictions and advanced clinical practice. My professional background includes community mental health, residential treatment, advocacy work supporting survivors of sexual assault, city government, and corporate settings. I am the Practice Director of The Recovery Connection and Atlas Counseling and Wellness. Additionally, I’m a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) with additional training in EMDR and trauma-informed care.
