I believe meaningful healing begins with feeling safe, supported, and understood without judgment. My approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, helping individuals navigate the emotional pain, confusion, and relational impact that often accompany betrayal trauma and relationship distress.
With more than 35 years of experience as a therapist, I specialize in working with partners impacted by sex addiction, pornography addiction, betrayal trauma, and relational disconnection. I also provide recovery-focused conjoint sessions to help couples navigate difficult conversations, rebuild emotional safety, and support healing within the relationship when clinically appropriate.
I value creating a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely cared for while being supported toward greater clarity, resilience, connection, and healing. I believe meaningful change and recovery are possible at every stage of life.

I specialize in working with partner betrayal trauma, relationship distress, and the emotional impact of sex addiction and pornography addiction on individuals and coupleships. Much of my work focuses on helping clients navigate the pain, confusion, grief, and trust disruption that often follow betrayal and relational trauma.
My approach is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care and focused on helping individuals move toward greater emotional safety, self-understanding, resilience, and healing. I also provide recovery-focused conjoint sessions to support couples navigating difficult conversations, rebuilding connection, and working toward healthier patterns within the relationship when clinically appropriate.
In addition to betrayal trauma work, I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, spiritual or religious concerns, and sexual or intimacy-related challenges.
I also previously served as an award-winning instructor at The Ohio State University, where I taught mental health therapy and supported the development of future clinicians.

My work integrates a wide range of evidence-based and relational therapies, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Jungian and existential approaches to healing and personal growth.
I have also completed advanced training in partner betrayal trauma and recovery-focused relational work.
Over the course of my career, I have come to deeply value the resilience of individuals and coupleships working through trauma, betrayal, grief, and relational pain. I believe meaningful healing often begins with feeling understood, emotionally safe, and supported through the process of change.
I integrate these approaches thoughtfully to support emotional healing, self-understanding, resilience, and meaningful relational change.
