COUPLES CONSULTATIONS
Clarity, Direction, and Next Steps
Recovery-Focused Couples Consultation
A Recovery-Focused Couples Consultation is a structured 90-minute session designed to help couples better understand their current situation, identify priorities, and develop a clearer path forward following the impact of sex addiction, pornography addiction, betrayal trauma, infidelity, or chronic deception.
Many couples seek consultation early in the recovery and healing process when they feel overwhelmed, uncertain where to begin, or unsure what types of support and treatment may be most appropriate. Others seek consultation after repeated setbacks, ongoing confusion, or difficulty determining next steps.
During the consultation, we gather information about your relationship history, current concerns, recovery efforts, support systems, and treatment goals. We assess where each person is in the recovery and healing process, answer questions, identify strengths and potential barriers, and provide recommendations tailored to your unique situation.
Recommendations may include individual therapy, partner support, recovery groups, formal therapeutic disclosure preparation, recovery-focused conjoint sessions, outside referrals, or other recovery resources as appropriate.
Unlike traditional couples therapy, the primary purpose of this service is assessment, education, and treatment planning. The goal is to provide greater clarity, direction, and understanding so that both individuals can make informed decisions regarding recovery and healing moving forward.
