However, all providers offer telehealth throughout Ohio. Additionally, Tina Cline offers telehealth throughout Florida, Oregon, and Vermont. Please reach out with any questions.

During the consultation, we will discuss the concerns you are currently seeking support for and explore whether our services may be a good fit for your needs. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the practice, treatment approach, and available services.
At the end of the consultation, we will discuss potential next steps regarding therapy and recommendations moving forward. Please note that consultations may not always be available due to scheduling and practice capacity.

Our sessions take place using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that allows you to do therapy from the comfort of your own space. No commute, no waiting room. Just the support you need, when and where you need it. You will receive a link before each session that allows you to join the meeting room for your session.

Yes. All of our providers offer in-person sessions. Please check with your provider for availability.

At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we do assist with out-of-network insurance coverage by providing superbills that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement.

We understand that unexpected situations and scheduling conflicts can arise. To support consistency of care and protect reserved appointment times, The Recovery Connection maintains a 48-hour cancellation policy.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged the full session fee.

You do not need to be in crisis or experiencing severe mental health symptoms to benefit from therapy. Seeking support can be an important step toward greater self-awareness, healing, recovery, and meaningful change.

During your first appointment, you and your therapist will spend time getting to know each other and discussing the concerns, experiences, or challenges that led you to seek therapy. You may also explore personal history, relationship dynamics, recovery goals, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.
The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions, better understand the therapist’s approach, and begin determining whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for your needs.
At the end of the session, you and your therapist will discuss potential next steps and recommendations moving forward.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, the concerns being addressed, and the level of support needed throughout the recovery and healing process. Some individuals seek short-term support focused on a specific issue, while others benefit from longer-term therapy aimed at deeper emotional, relational, or behavioral change.
Many clients begin with weekly sessions, particularly early in treatment, to help establish consistency, build momentum, and support progress. Over time, the frequency and duration of therapy may evolve based on your needs, goals, and overall progress.
Therapy is ultimately a collaborative process, and treatment recommendations will be discussed openly with you throughout your care.

Throughout the therapeutic process, we work collaboratively with clients to help build insight, resilience, accountability, emotional stability, and healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.
The experience and outcome of therapy will be different for each individual and often depends on factors such as personal goals, readiness for change, consistency, and engagement in the therapeutic process.

Therapy is often most effective when approached with openness, consistency, and a willingness to engage honestly in the process. Meaningful change and recovery typically involve more than insight alone and often require active participation both during and outside of sessions.
To help support progress in therapy, individuals are encouraged to:

Attend appointments consistently and remain engaged in treatment
Growth and healing can take time, but consistent effort and willingness to engage in the process often create the strongest foundation for meaningful change.

Session length may vary depending on the therapist, service type, and clinical needs being addressed. Most individual psychotherapy sessions are approximately 50–60 minutes.
Certain services, including EMDR and formal therapeutic disclosure-related work, may involve extended sessions when clinically appropriate. Treatment recommendations and scheduling options can be discussed directly with your therapist based on your specific needs and goals.

The Recovery Connection primarily specializes in individual psychotherapy for sex addiction, pornography addiction, and partner betrayal trauma. While we do not offer traditional couples therapy as a primary service, recovery-focused conjoint sessions may be incorporated when clinically appropriate.
These sessions are often used to support communication, emotional safety, accountability, relational healing, and recovery-related concerns within the relationship. In many cases, conjoint work is offered when both individuals are actively engaged in treatment within the practice or as part of a broader recovery and healing process.
Treatment recommendations are individualized and discussed collaboratively based on the needs, readiness, and goals of those involved.

Confidentiality is one of the most important components in therapy, as successful therapy requires a high degree of trust. With few exceptions, the highly sensitive material that is discussed between you and your therapist will not be shared with anyone else without your permission. For example, we may share information with someone on your healthcare team (your Physician, Naturopath, Attorney), but by law we will only be allowed to release this information after obtaining your written consent. In addition, we are legally mandated to make certain disclosures in cases where there is suspicion of harm to oneself and/or harm to others. All such disclosures will be shared with you in advance within the informed consent paperwork.

We are not psychiatrists and therefore do not prescribe medication. However, in some cases, medication can be valuable in combination with psychotherapy. If it is determined that you may benefit from meeting with a psychiatrist, we can assist with referring you to someone in our trusted network of providers.

Many individuals begin therapy feeling uncertain, ambivalent, ashamed, or discouraged about their behaviors. Therapy can help individuals better understand patterns, increase motivation for change, strengthen accountability, and begin building a foundation for recovery. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.

Many individuals struggle to determine whether their behaviors have become problematic, compulsive, or addictive in nature. Therapy can help explore patterns related to secrecy, loss of control, escalation, emotional impact, relationship distress, and the overall effect these behaviors may be having on your life and relationships.
Specialized clinical assessments may also be incorporated as part of the intake and evaluation process to help gain a clearer understanding of behavioral patterns, severity, treatment needs, and appropriate recommendations moving forward.

Individuals may still benefit from therapy even if their partner is not currently ready or willing to participate. Recovery and healing often begin with individual support, increased self-awareness, emotional stabilization, and healthier coping strategies.

Yes. Many partners experience intense emotional distress following discovery of sexual behaviors, deception, or infidelity within a relationship. Therapy can help individuals process betrayal trauma, better understand trauma responses, regain emotional stability, and work toward healing and clarity moving forward.

Yes. In some situations, partner consultations or adjunct support sessions may be incorporated as part of the treatment process when clinically appropriate. These sessions can help provide additional understanding of relationship dynamics, recovery concerns, betrayal trauma impacts, and areas requiring support moving forward.
The structure and recommendations for partner involvement are individualized and discussed collaboratively based on the needs and goals of those involved.

Recovery-focused conjoint sessions differ from traditional couples therapy and are designed to support communication, emotional safety, accountability, and healing within the context of addiction recovery and betrayal trauma.
In some situations, conjoint sessions may be incorporated when both individuals are actively engaged in treatment within the practice, often with one therapist supporting the individual struggling with addiction and another therapist supporting the betrayed partner. This collaborative approach can help support healthier communication, relational clarity, and recovery-focused healing moving forward.
